FOXO4-DRI is a synthetic, cell-permeable peptide designed to combat aging by selectively eliminating senescent “zombie” cells. By interrupting the interaction between the FOXO4 protein and p53, it triggers apoptosis (programmed cell death) in aged cells, potentially reversing age-related physical decline and improving tissue health, as shown in studies.

Key Aspects of FOXO4-DRI

• Mechanism of Action: Senescent cells accumulate with age, promoting inflammation (SASP) and tissue degradation. FOXO4-DRI acts as a decoy, preventing FOXO4 from protecting these cells, which frees p53 to induce their death.
